Helium 0.6.0 is available. It mostly contains back-end changes, but ย several user-visible changes as well:
Improved seeking
The handling of seeking in the player view has been improved. The area that reacts to the
seeking has been enlarged and the the flicking doesn’t steal the events anymore. A tool-tip will show the current seek position.
Filtering
It is now possible to filter the list of media files. To activate the filter input, just drag down and pull the list at the top as in every other program on the device. By default the filtering will only work on the titles. This can be changed in settings to match against most of the other meta-data as well.
Debugging
It’s now possible to log the UPnP traffic to help debugging of interoperability issues. By default, the log file is written to MyDocs to enable easy transfer of the log files via mass storage mode.
Hi Jends,
thx for another update. Beside the new features I noticed some general improvement and yesterday already made some more systematical tests. Will post them soon. One short thing…the search box shows quicker in other application when swiping down. In Helium I really need to pull the content down quite wide to make the search field appear.
Actually it’s a timer. Maybe I should turn it down a bit.
Yes…i think it can be a little more sensitive. One more little design glitch…I find the progress bar and the time beneath are “glueing” together too much ๐ Ok…really just an asthetic issue but if you leave a distance of 1 or 2 pixels would be nice.
I will record logs at home and then post my issues….
Hi Jens,
I’m a bit confused as to which version of the N9 firmware that are supported. Will this work on a PR1.3 N9?
Br,
Martin
Should work with any version. Why?
Hello Jens,
I know you’re busy (same as me) but I just wanted to ask if you’re still working on Helium? I hope that after moving this year and some deadlines less at work that I can finally sit down and try to help but often my plans turn out to be stoped by the lack of time ๐
The only thing I really miss right now is playlist support…
Thomas
Yes, although very slowly. Playlist is the next thing to do. I’m sorry this takes so long now.
No reason to say sorry! ๐ I will still stick to my N9 for some time and even bought a second for development…just the time for that was never included…
